The client

Allied London are a UK-based property investment company, with a range of successful re-use and regeneration developments in London, Leeds and Manchester.

Problem

Allied London needed a robust and aesthetic solution for their curtain walling system and outdoor dining spaces in the heart of Manchester. They required a subframe that would not only support the structural integrity of the curtain walling but also allow for seamless integration of high-quality doors for al-fresco dining.

Solution

We worked closely with Hörmann to manufacture and install a custom subframe that supported the curtain walling while also integrating the Hörmann ALR doors. The ALR doors offer the perfect balance of functionality and style, enabling al-fresco dining when open and fitting seamlessly into the surroundings when closed. With Hörmann’s flexibility in design modifications, we were able to continually adapt to ensure the client received the best possible solution.
